Are You a Caregiver or Aide Looking to be Hired?
The Jefferson County Area Agency on Aging supports older adult consumers and their families to seek out a caregiver or aide to provide services in their home. The JCAAA does not hire private caregivers for older adults, but we wanted to provide a sample newspaper advertisement that you can modify and use to try and find employment.
The OPTIONS Consumer Reimbursement program is available to qualifying older adults to hire their own caregiver or aide to perform services in their home. The caregiver or aide cannot be related to the older adult. A criminal background check is required of the aide before services can start.
JCAAA will provide reimbursement for up to five (5) hours per week. While the Pennsylvania Department of Aging will not allow our agency to retain a list of caregiver names to share publicly, you can advertise your services to be hired directly by an older adult.
